SAIL/KAYAK

ATO utilizes Hobie Tandem Islands (Sail Yak), Hobie Wave's (13 ft. catamaran), Hobie 16's with Trapseats (16 ft. catamaran with adaptive seats), Hunter 212 (21 ft. Keelboat) at events to introduce persons with and without disAbilities to economical accessible sailing and kayaking. These unique accessible water-crafts are used in learn-to-sail (US Sailing Certified) and kayak educational classes (US Paddle Sport Certified), and safe boating courses (NASBLA certified). The goal is to assist persons with disAbilities to be as independent in sailing/kayaking as possible, and create awareness of how accessible water sports can be. Thus the need for ATO to create accessible marine facilities, without which persons with disabilities would not be able to access the water.

The founder of Access To Outdoors, Miles Moore is an
active sailor and instructor certified to teach small boat, keelboat, multihull sailing, and of course accessible/adaptive sailing.

Miles is regularly asked to present and speak about accessible/adaptive sailing, kayaking, and outdoor accessibility, particularly related to marine facilities, etc. Email Miles at accesstooutdoors@gmail.com to have him speak at your event.
